Fox legal analyst responds to Trump’s unhinged and psychotic posts calling for Democratic senators and representatives to be executed for posting a video urging service members to obey their oath to the Constitution and follow the law in the UCMJ.

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

From my perspective as a Met fan (who’s also a Polar Bear fan), the first and biggest offseason priority: get Edwin Diaz under contract.

I for one am not planning to watch anything on ESPN or ABC for the foreseeable future . I’d add Disney, but then I never watch Disney. Maybe if enough others were to do the same, maybe there would be some caution about giving in to pressure.

Seems that Abbott’s math is as good as his law skills. He says redistricting is justified because DJT got 56% of the vote in Texas. Problem is current Tex Congressional delegation is split 25R-11D with one vacancy. My math isn’t great these days, but it seems redistricting should add 6 Dem seats.

I’ve seen little coverage of a Fed District court order in DC yesterday. Judge Contreras issued a TRO reinstating the MSPB Chair. MSPB decides cases involving Fed firings. As a former Fed employment lawyer, if MSPB is functioning, then a large proportion of Feds fired will be reinstated w/back pay.

The GOP talks about eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse. the taxpayer will alsopay for the litigation that will lead to stopping Musk’s and DJT’s crap. Then guess what happens to most of the Feds impacted: they get reinstated and get back pay. You, me and millions of taxpayers pay for that too.

You know who’ll take the buyout? Those who were about to ret, those in the doghouse for not performing well, and those who never cared about their job.
Do they have authority to do this? How? With what funds?
Trump administration will offer all 2 million federal workers a buyout to resign

An email is set to go out to federal workers beginning Tuesday

For all of his dystopian rhetoric, by many traditional metrics, the America that Trump will inherit from Biden is actually in better shape than that bequeathed to any newly elected president since Bush came into office in 2001. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/05/u...

President Biden is bequeathing his successor a nation that by many measures is in good shape, even if voters remain unconvinced.

Just came across this stat: in 1956, Duke Snider, playing for the NL Pennant winners, led the league in WAR, homers, OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+, and intentional walks. He finished 10th in the MVP voting. Three Dodger teammates - Newcombe (the winner), Gilliam, and Reese - finished ahead of him.

Surprisingly, I have only been to 28 of these cities.

The average American has only been to 5 of these places, how about you?

It took more than 60 years for someone to lose more than the 1962 Mets. With Jake Burger the latest to be traded by the Marlins, could Miami be looking to take the record away from the White Sox after one year.

Finishing a trip to Australia; I’m walking by the Sydney Custom House. I notice a gentleman of Asian descent sitting in a chair. I notice he’s wearing a blue shirt with a maize M. Of course, I say, “Go Blue”. He responds immediately, “We beat Ohio State again”. Made my day, if not the trip.

Federal advisory committees (which is what this is, even if they pretend otherwise) are supposed to follow federal laws about transparency, balance and conflicts of interest. Not sure that having Elon's Mom on board satisfies these requirements.

As a New York Met and Univerisity of Michigan fan of a certain age, I love that Benny Agbayani is the baseball coach at St. Louis High in Honolulu and his son Bruin plays for him - and has committed to play at Michigan.
