I have never known my ‘credit score’, have no idea why so many ads suggest I should find out and, tbh, have little idea of what a credit score is and less of why it might matter.

I’m watching Human Traffic for the first time in years (it’s on iPlayer) and wondering once more why Shaun Parkes didn’t go on to be a much bigger name. He’s brilliant in this film.

I’m saddened to learn of the death of Geoff Nicholson earlier this month. His books have been favourites of mine since the 1990s, and when I had to cull my library for a recent house move there was no question that my Nicholson books, pictured here, would be among them.

To the best of my knowledge no one famous ever attended or even visited my school. I was there at the same time as Russ Abbott’s kids when he was a huge name but he was never seen at the school.
