I've set up my home office in a different room and Bear the cat, usually a standoffish, companion, has seen fit to join me.

Are you doing 80s themed merchandise @herring1967.bsky.social ? Seen in a Clacton charity shop.

We went to one of the recordings a couple of weeks back, and he was in terrific form.

We saw a play at the Lyceum last year and I stayed behind just to take some photos of the ceiling.

I'm sitting in a pub reading this in a book, a book I only picked up on the way from a free library because I realised I had left the house with nothing to read.

I’m saddened to learn of the death of Geoff Nicholson earlier this month. His books have been favourites of mine since the 1990s, and when I had to cull my library for a recent house move there was no question that my Nicholson books, pictured here, would be among them.

This must run it a close second. The review has been deleted now, after being up for years, but luckily I had taken a screen grab.

To quote Harry Hill, 'At this time of year it's traditional to think of those spending Christmas alone. I don't. I think of those who aren't spending Christmas alone, but who wish they were.'

A tip for a quiet drink if the West End is absolutely nuts with Christmas shoppers. The reconstructed Colony Room on Heddon Street was deserted yesterday afternoon when everywhere else was rammed. We were the only punters all the time we were in there. Decent wine at £6 a glass too.

I solved a few clues in yesterday’s Guardian Prize crossword but had no idea how to start filling the grid, and now today’s Azed looks like this. I don’t even understand the instructions.
