Last week in Minnesota, I watched ordinary people risk their lives to protect their neighbors. In the process, they not only won a significant—though not final—victory against authoritarianism, they proved virtually every MAGA social theory wrong. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

In short: I REALLY wish lbgt+ ppl (and straight) would STOP associating this admin's violence with closeted homosexuality - bc when they do an image refresh/laundering, it is such an easy target following this *with gay people's endorsement* to say it was bc of violent LGBT ppl. They caused this.
Accusations that right wing aggression and hate comes from closeted homosexuality is incredibly dangerous to our community. It's not a joke.

My response to another queer person who chose to say this.

There may be some people wear this is true, but that is the minority.

ICE agents at a hotel in St. Paul woke up this morning to news that they’re getting kicked out of their hotel today at noon.

Finally lost my Finch streak at 420 days.
Fun adventures along the way.

Cool to learn so many factoids about countries

It's telling how much these wet behind the ears 🍨 "officers" are weilding treason and denying basic constitutional human rights - they do it with a belief that the government is going to back them up. When all they're going to get is an alcohol swipe to make sure the chop doesn't get infected.

It's not lost on me the irony of Hilton desperately trying to keep their ICE bookings in good standing, while ICE destroys tourism, and Trump destroys the economy- And they're the only ones with the money to travel and stay in hotels anymore.

Wild how Gilt has become pretty much nothing but a scam site.
Here they are selling a Zwilling knife set for $10 less than the manufacturer, but claiming it's a 44% discount and fabricating a listing price.

Other than not having enough time I wonder why more people don't marinate or brine their meat before cooking a lot of dishes.

Mark Cuban really peaked with the healthcare stuff.

I wonder if it gave him an even more inflated sense of ego because everything I've seen from him in the past few months has been startlingly out of touch no matter how many people have told him so.

Feeling very Oz behind the curtain.

Where Winds Meet- like every single other NetEase game, 1.5 hours in And there are seven clear ways to spend money and few clear attempts to explain the purpose and goals of the game beyond their typical treadmill of incremental improvements with a $$$ incentive.

The Sean Combs documentary. Phewww.

And so much of it an open secret. So many rappers, even Eminem, had it completely right over the years and talked about these things.

Was surprised to recognize the Park Hyatt New York as where he was staying during the trial.

The r/Art saga has been a trip. Was banned for calling out the old mods using AI to "test" if submissions were AI, without the consent of the artists.

They've officially reopened the sub with new mods as of a few minutes ago, and removed over 5,000 bans from 2025 alone!

ARK Survival Ascended came out 2 years ago, has an excessive amount of DLC and mods. And is still one of the buggiest base games I have played in decades.

The dinos don't even have basic tracking for point A to point B. They just get stuck in everything all the time. And randomly teleport

I can't stress enough how extremely critical it is for folks who are even minorly technical to explain to their extended familles how dangerous AI chatbots and genai are.

Odd.

Instacart didn't adjust the cost of a by-weight item I ordered.
They charged me $100 in the app, the amount delivered said $40 (sale?) so I tried to contact support for the difference.

Instead the bot refunded the full $100.

Does make me wonder where else they've skimmed.
