Medical debt is not optional debt like the purchase of a luxury car or yacht.

You can incur massive medical debt in the blink of an eye due to a heart attack, an accident, or a cancer diagnosis. It should NOT be used as part of one's credit score.

Cruelty is the point.

The Trump surrender of Ukraine descends into utter chaos. But “chaos” is too mellow a word: What we have here is a rich bouillabaisse of incompetence, mendacity, tragedy, farce, and diplomatic blunder. Words have a hard time keeping up with the story. We can at least take comfort that the US is part of the WHO, working with scientists worldwide to solve this problem.

Wait - Trump withdrew us from the WHO.

Well, at least our CDC can handle this.

Wait - they were gutted, weren't they?

Hours after Border Patrol swept through Charlotte, protesters filled uptown with courage, not fear. They marched peacefully, stood united, and refused to be intimidated.

Charlotte showed up.

And it showed strength.💪

This is after all of the layoffs. After all of the benefit cuts, research grants cuts, the pillaging of our pockets with tariffs.

Not a competency test. Not a merit test. Not a fiscal, or ethics, or civics test.

A loyalty test.

This is the only thing that's important to the far right.

A serious question for Trump's Republican supporters:

Either Trump is irreparable corrupt and you're ok with it or he is so addle-brained that he doesn't know what day it is and you're ok with it. It's one or the other. Which is it?

1. That plant was initiated under Biden, not Trump.
2. It's tied to EVs, which Trump calls a hoax.
3. Trump's "big, beautiful bill" will kill thousands of EV jobs.

Facts matter.
