The other thing about normalizing gAI use in higher ed is that we are teaching our students that they cannot trust their own creativity, their own thoughts and brains, their own skills without having it reshaped/shellacked/transmogrified by LLMs. We’re setting them up for failure and dependence.

We don’t need AI to “be creative” for us; we need a world in which there is time and space to wonder, joke and play with words. To fuck around with color and texture, to experiment with an intriguing sound, without the need to immediately convert process and artifact into engagement to stay solvent.

I've been rereading MOAM (shocker) and I've gotten to the part about Hermione's rehab and recovery. The timing is perfect as I'm also getting frustrated because I feel like everyday keeps getting away from me. Despite completing so many tasks, I still feel the hours are never enough.
