Weak as water! Then the turncoats hurry up and have press conferences to shift the blame off of them. Weak! They think we won't remember this, but we will remember at the polls!

I'm married to a surgeon, who is a Canadian, practicing in America. She makes about $100K more per year than what she'd get in Canada. If the USA switched to a Canada style system, could we survive without that extra $100K? Absolutely. I'll be honest. Her job would have less headaches too. Worth it.

AHA! More grifting from Noem, who almost got out-grifted by someone else!

Noem and Lewandowski blew through the funds allocated by Congress. And Spirit—which has filed for bankruptcy twice—didn’t own the planes in the first place, and the engines would have to be purchased separately.

So stupid!

Under the bill, an unborn child is “an individual human being from conception [which happens when a sperm fertilizes an ovum] until live birth.”

This is total bullshit.

Women have unplanned abortions (a miscarriage) often during the first 3.5 months of pregnancy. NOW, they're sending us to jail?
Abortion Bans Are Never Just About Abortion
People who very much want to become pregnant could soon find their right to procreate restricted by criminal anti-abortion laws protecting embryos.

Watching John Oliver's felony murder show. I think we should charge fascist rapist for felony murder because thousands of kids died when he killed USAID. People have died in ICE holding. People have died while being trafficked. Let me think... how many more people has he killed? Five in Annapolis.

Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

I want Universal Healthcare. But, even if we did it with a $2K out-of-pocket cap, I think we could. No premiums. Every person pays up to $2K/yr (or $4K/family) and after that -- universal health care takes care of 100%. That seems reasonable. The $2K/yr is more about preventing abuse than anything.

Anyway I think one reason I'm not that mad at these guys is we already knew they were the wrong people for this moment. A party trying to carry on with business as usual in the face of autocracy won't survive. They're sitting in a burning house and commissioning polls on how popular the fire is
If you think the president is a tyrant and you're running for office to oppose him the only platform you can have is "Give us enough votes to impeach and remove this menace." Otherwise what's the point of electing you?

When we’re born, we have about 300 bones, but over time, we end up with just 206, because many fuse together as we grow.

And here’s a fun fact: Bone is a living tissue that constantly renews itself. Your skeleton is completely new about every 7-10 years.

If your government sends a $40B "gift" to another country while refusing to feed its own children, you need another government. There's nothing wrong with foreign aid (in most cases); but there is something wrong with letting kids and veterans go hungry while sending it.
