Tony Benn reckoned politicians were either signposts or weathervanes.
Labour needs more signposts and fewer weathervanes.

Think it highly likely that there will be no court case. The BBC have posted 6 watertight reasons why . Even Trump is not that stupid . He will enjoy the mini row as a distraction from Epstein but not for long.

"Labour is fixing our NHS. Lots done, more to do"

So far, a 3% reduction in waiting lists.

Over time, I'm expecting the rate of fall to accelerate as this first year saw the turn around to stop the rises and the 2nd year onwards is when the policies really make their difference!

Ken Clarke leaves religious fanatic Kruger’s Reform UK looking like total idiots. “Some resigned because they didn’t want time off work, most had no clue what councils do. They promised to cut waste and tax, then hiked it to the max. #ukpolitics

I agree with your overall sentiment, but it’s not my only reason. Every day Labour is making meaningful changes/policy that benefits the population. And before the whataboutery starts, this government picked up all the shit left by 14 years of right wing policy. Difficult choices had to be made.

David Cameron’s failed Police & Crime Commissioner system is being scrapped

12 years of wasted money, low turnout & zero accountability, a political gimmick that didn’t make our streets safer

Labour’s putting that £100 million back where it belongs: into frontline policing & communities

Who is really interested in the opinion polls other than the pollsters themselves and a media who've forgotten how to do journalism. To me, they're irrelevant 4 years from the next GE, if a week is a long time in politics 4 years is a lifetime. They're destabilising our democracy.

Starmer and Reeves have a 10 yr plan. I like their plan. I don’t expect it to materialise in 16 months. And I don’t expect it to be without its challenges. I also accept external factors will play a part. That’s why it’s a 10 year plan.

Tonight I had a good call with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, during which we discussed progress made and reiterated our commitment to our renewed agenda.

We have agreed to start negotiations on both the SPS and ETS agreements next week.

Actually, it happened because the far-right religious nutter, climate sceptic and Islamophobic billionaire, Paul Marshall, looked at Fox News in the US and thought “Why can’t we have a propaganda channel that pumps out non-stop bullshit too?”

It is not for the media to get rid of this Government.

It is for the people to vote them in again or out based on their 5 years in office.

As we do every election.

Usually confounding the media and the polllsters.

I urged the Prime Minister to stand up for the 23.8 million licence fee paying households, and tell Trump he won't get a penny.

For people about to reply claiming its due to the weather - the weather didn't prevent the 3 boats who attempted to cross, the French police did, under the agreement signed with Labour.

A welcome intervention by the PM, calling out the "toxic division of Reform & others."

He says:

"Some of the racist & divisive rhetoric we're hearing, I thought we had dealt with decades ago is returning to politics. It makes people feel very scared. We have to stand up to that racism."
