Still never watching Morning Joe again. My news blackout began Nov. 6, 2024 and although I began watching some news in the days following, Mika and Joe’s visit to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring was the last straw for me. Also, although I like Willie Geist, having only white hosts is ridiculous.

Lots that is grotesque here, but I think the key thing to notice is the zero-sum worldview: if we take in a 5yo immigrant, this somehow displaces or harms at 5yo American kid. There's a finite pool of "American" to distribute.
