So yesterday Trump said Marge Greene was a traitor to America and he wants Republicans to vote to release the Epstein files. After calling Greene a great patriot and threatening Republicans who supported releasing the files just last month. But yeah, he’s totally sane and fine.

Kemi Badenoch's assertion that Keir Starmer has lost control of his party would have more credibility if she'd even tried to take control of hers.

I don't often call for resignations. But Sir Robbie Gibb's role in the BBC boardroom coup makes his continued role there untenable. He must resign or be removed
‘Gibb’s supporters say he is trying to save the BBC from itself; he was also heard last year to say that if he didn’t get his way, he would “blow the place up”.’
“a group of politically-appointed directors has forced the hand of Samir Shah, the chair, and the departure of the two most senior people in the organisation. Their resignations should be called out for what they are: political interference..”1/

Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …

Stand aside wars, genocide, the unravelling of US democracy, climate crisis, child poverty, stagnating economy, homelessness, or foreign interference in our politics - there is only one bit of news. Everyone is having a meltdown about a couple of petty criminals who had a day out by mistake.

BBC News bulletins leading on the story of an Algerian man being mistakenly released by the prison service.

Funnily enough I don't remember these cases ever leading the bulletins when an average of ten prisoners were mistakenly released a month in the final year of the last Government

Trump, surrounded by sycophants, lickspittles and toadies who praise and worship him in his gilded palace, can’t imagine why his subjects aren’t eager to trade their constitutional republic and rights for his will, since he knows more than anyone else about everything.

Goodwin says "it takes more than a piece of paper" or birthplace to make somebody British.

This is not often applied to Fred West/Ian Huntley, Kim Philpy, etc

So how it is applied to British-born people from the majority + minority groups who commit crimes + who don't is rarely/never made clear

To see Matt Goodwin drooling over a chance for NF-level race-baiting just days after he appeared on Question Time sums up how irredeemably rotten that show is. Today they'd book Nick Griffin without batting an eyelid

So why does the BBC label the academic and economist Faiza Shaheen an "activist" but refuse to do the same for the former academic, turned anti-migrant activist Matt Goodwin?

Of all the issues facing the UK today, the £500 given to the deported asylum seeker doesn't even make the list.

X is a cesspit led by an unhinged billionaire who is desperately trying to stir up civil war in Britain.

Nobody with any sense or decency should be there.

No organisations, government departments, or politicians should be there.

Everyone who is, is enabling this monster.

I remember Meera Syal saying on a tv chat show about twenty bleeding years ago about the lack of representation of poc on tv particularly in advertising. It’s taken this long to finally see a fair balance so that stupid women and others like her should just shut the fuck up.

100% agree with you. This looks interesting but I cannot in good conscience watch anything with Rylan in after he essentially gave a party political broadcast on behalf of Reform. He parroted uninformed nonsense live on TV and showed himself to be ignorant of facts

When I was five, I was the only child who didn't win any of the races at the class sports day, not even one. So the teachers made me a special ribbon to wear so I wouldn't be left out.

No particular reason to tell this story.
Rep. Buddy Carter: "Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. That's why I'm introducing a resolution today that will honor him with the Nobel Peace Prize."
