If you don't want gen AI in your manga, anime, game, and light novel translations, now is the time to make your voice heard. Write to your favorite publishers and developers and ask if they are incorporating LLMs into their process. And most importantly, tell them you will vote with your dollars.

So not only is Square Enix going to try to replace 70% of its QA with AI, it's also apparently laying off at least 100 people (possibly significantly more) as it continues to consolidate its operations further and further:

I like this kind of phonetic spelling of cut-off words in comics. "DEA" on its own can be read as "deh", "dee", or "dee-uh". Context would tell us it's "deh" once we get to the word "death", but I like how the phonetic spelling gets rid of any ambiguity right off the bat.

I keep seeing people talk about how The Summer Hikaru Died isn't BL but it really baffles me. Is it me who is the problem? I feel like "it doesn't have to be romance to be BL" but maybe I'm in the minority. New genre: BLT (boys' love tragedy)
