We all know how difficult it is to rotate a cube in your mind. Now imagine rotating a much more complex shape, such as a chair or a human head. Now you can begin to understand the immense brainpower required of even the merest cartoonist

Rest in peace, Béla Tarr 💙 I still cherish the ticket below from the freezing and snowy Boston morning in 2007 when a hundred of us piled into the Harvard Film Archive to watch all eight hours of Tarr's Sátántangó in one day. It was a life changing experience. Thank you forever, Bela.

Reason #1 why we own physical media! We've moved a bunch over the years and lugging around DVDs is a drag, but leaving the integrity of classic films in the hands of streaming services who might arbitrarily cut them down is not acceptable!

Amazon Prime slammed for streaming ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ with key scene cut out: ‘Sacrilege’
Viewers say the abridged cut — roughly 22 minutes shorter than the original 130-minute film — removes the iconic “Pottersville” sequence.
