For a disturbingly long time, some people were suggesting we just do what Sweden did.

Was a different country, much smaller population spread out in a less densely populated way and different health care system. But still they did.
We the shitposters of the UK were saying at the time that lockdown was too late, some of us were already working from home. But no he insisted the Cheltenham Festival (March 10-13) and Liverpool v Madrid (March 11) went ahead. Meanwhile on March 12 the subservient press were briefed thus:

Another festive season, and EastEnders plans to do a flashforward ep at New Year.

Is this like the new plot device soaps are using to entice viewers to hang on for a year?

Snow in West London this morning ❄️

Can't remember the last time it did this. Several years at least.

Today has been a massive victory for anti-migrant voices.

Not only is Labour doing 90% of what they want, but they're also making it much easier for them to get the remaining 10% later

Honestly the most random story to come out of British politics this year but OK

It's WILD that, in All's Fair Ep.2, a woman takes her own life due to financial woes, and the next scene is literally the main cast talking about it while swigging champage on a private jet...on the way to a jewellery auction.

It finally happened. One month into the job hunt, and I had an early-morning negative doom loop spiral, lots of intrusive thoughts. Was honestly the worst.

So difficult when your own brain starts working against you like that.

The line “vote for us or you’ll get the far right” doesn’t really work when the policies you’re enacting are barely distinguishable from what the far right propose.

I feel sick 🫠
The Sun has been told Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will on Monday propose confiscating jewellery, watches, necklaces from asylum seekers to meet asylum costs

This reflects the most controversial aspect of the Danish scheme - the Jewellery Law. The toughest Labour MPs thought this was OTT

Two years on Bluesky today 🦋

It's grown so much since then. Definitely a happier space than the other place.

Invoking the gilt markets while briefing on the leadership issue and then backtracking on tax rises was an incredibly silly thing to do.
Massive move in gilts on open. Looks like giving up almost half the gains from the last month. Terrible
I am excited to see the gilt market reaction to this news. Think it could be quite bad. A big chunk of the recent gilt rally was predicated on Labour showing they could hike the big taxes if needed and….well I guess that idea is dead.

Sent off a flurry of applications today, probably the most productive of the job hunt so far.

Halfway through Alice in Borderland S3.

I just know I'd be dead in one game after setting foot in Borderland, just because I'd stop paying attention when they read out the rules.

Question:

Do you consider it a red flag if you go for a role and they ask you to sit for an AI interview as a starting point?

Been actively job hunting the last couple of weeks. Definitely seeing interesting roles going.

A month since I got the bad news.
