Excited to share my first single-authored dissertation paper!
I study how voters react to party differentiation in coalitions. Voters like clear partisan signals, but the gains are short-lived and limited to aligned supporters.

🚨 New preprint:
I investigate how voters react to partisan behavior in coalitions. The paper leverages an unexpected event from 2024, when Austria’s Green environment minister Gewessler backed an EU Nature Restoration Law against the will of her ÖVP coalition partner.

Opening bsky to see if its usage has progressed enough to notice the Overleaf outage on my fyp. Disappointed, but I will be the change I want to see in the world. This is my day now:

Interesting graphic on the EP vote on the VdL2 Commission. Much smaller majority at the start than previous Commissions, and I expect the “VdL2.0 coalition” to erode quickly. (Nb. Will try to look at the RCV breakdown later):

Promising news for the EU electoral connection! 🗳️🇪🇺
Our study on the 2024 EP election shows that voters are engaging with information relevant to the European Parliament's actual powers.
