Am I overthinking this, or is it weird she’s inviting people to wipe their feet all over these words? Also, I get that people love Taylor, I really do- but I stumbled across a thread where people were losing their minds about ‘missing out’ on merchandise and it felt…disturbing.

A lot of what people call easter eggs is really just Taylor being consistent with her imagery. She’s telling a story. Calling that “giving hints three years in advance” is reductive to her art and flattens how intentional and layered it actually is.
