Update: I logged back in to find I had zero dms from my immediate family, including my mother. I spent the last year thinking they hadn’t texted me because they had messaged me on Facebook instead. Nope. The family group chat hasn’t been updated all year either. Ugh, this was my worst case scenario.
I just logged into my main Facebook account for the first time in over a year. I haven’t looked at anything yet, but I did take the first step. Deleting the social media apps was an impulsive decision I made last year when it became too much to see the highlight reel of so many people I knew irl…
