Why Pinkleader? It’s an old moniker, back when I did leading, especially with buddies Green and Blue. I guess I should have chosen Pinkleader, retired. Broken, but still good? Now it’s mostly Pink-stumbles-blindly-behind-the-dog-trying-not-to-trip-over-her.

I ordered some cards from Corey Johnston @coreyartusimagery.com that came in the mail today and they are as stunning as I expected. I can’t wait to send them to folks I love, after I’ve admired each one myself.

It’s time to regulate AI, because they won’t do it themselves, and in addition to future harm to our planet and people’s lungs, it’s killing people as suicide coaches when they use AI for therapy. Y’all, fucking stop using AI!

Wait, what? A RAT caught and ate a BAT? And there's video! What does it portend?

Happy Halloween! I put on my Maleficent dress, went to vote early in Virginia’s elections, and took the hound for a mosey.

What’s the deal with AI art and how should we feel about it? The Oatmeal, with the help of some people friends, has an excellent take. Worth a read, especially for the Easter egg “floppyshart”. ❤️

Poor Willow had a rough day yesterday, aggravating her neck injury from July, with a trip to the ER Vet for assessment and more meds. She’s resting well today, moving better, no more whining or yelps of pain, and a little less shrimped up around her neck with muscle relaxers.

To get a Flu & Covid shot this Fall, you will want to check eligibility per new FDA policy. In 13 locations, some being VA, DC, WV, PA, NC, etc. you need a Rx from your doctor to get the COVID shot at a large pharmacy chains, even if you do meet the new guidelines.

Your body is not here as fodder for the diet industry. Don’t believe that this time it might work, that it was always your own lack of self control. You’re fine just the way you are. (Unless you’re a jerk, and a diet won’t make you a nice person.) If I never see another GLP-1 ad, it’ll be too soon.
Stay with me, even though society has chosen to believe otherwise:
“OBESITY” IS NOT A DISEASE.
“Obesity” is an insulting word from the Greek, meaning “to eat oneself fat”.
Being fat doesn’t hurt you. Unstoppable weight gain is a symptom of disease, not a cause.
People come in all sizes, like height.

Lastly to keep myself safe for pack out, I had to wear a mask to protect my respiratory system from the dust since there had been no rain, a jacket with full sleeves, & a hat to protect me from the sun b/c I am still on doxy for the sinus infection, which was all really hot. Willow on her way home.

I went to Pennsic and came home, and went to Pennsic and came home again. Here’s some Pennsic skies. An almost Full Moon rising between some tents on Friday night, and a sunset on the first weekend.

Willow has been dealing with some stuff. The thunderstorms lately have been heckin a lot, sometimes getting her Thundershirt deployed. But she also has some neck pain, likely a bulging disc, that’s making her uncomfortable & we’ve been trying to find the right course of meds & rest. Poor baby. 😢

Tarot fans, LGBTQIA peeps and fam, Octopus fans, Steampunk fans, Y’all should check out Laura’s results from her June daily sketches.
I’m needing a little boost of my own work on my timeline, b/c I’m tired, and my hands hurt (I have some kind of arthritis on top of all my other problems). These are the 3.3”x5.5” octopus tarot sketches (the ones I plan to re-do in 8x5”).

Before, After, the difference.

Since the late 90’s I’ve been cutting off my hair every ~4 years to donate, and my last donation was in the Fall of 2020. It’s a relief to not have the burden of so much hair, and I have an 18” braid to donate.

"I don't know why I have to tell people this, but you don't get reliable information on social media or an AI bot," said Hany Farid, a professor who specializes in media forensics at the University of California, Berkeley.

Me: Stop asking chat bots to verify things. Stop believing AI summaries.

I remember one time back when we had cable flipping through channels and I found Liam Neeson’s version of Les Mis on the Luxury channel & the cognitive dissonance was astounding. I get that $$$ often means 🕰️ to go to the theater. But then you better be charitable to the poor, single parents, etc.

Breaks are necessary for recovery, redoing your favorites is how you refine your work, be a fan to those you admire (with boundaries), do what feeds your muse.
Creatives, stop explaining yourself for taking breaks, logging off, making what you want, fangirling over your favorite fandom, drawing the same characters over and over, drawing what you want, learning what you want, doing whatever the heck you want

do you, babes

I commissioned a pet portrait from @nilusart.bsky.social based on a photo @devonrowland.bsky.social took in 2021 of Willow doing a snoot lick and it is beautiful!! Now I need to find a place/way to print it of my precious Princess. So pleased. Would recommend them both. 10/10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
