As an alternative to Wall’s pretzel bending self contradictory argument about adding sociology programs because we need sociology may I elevate the case made by my colleague and friend Ashley Rondini
on why we need sociology to meet the current moment:

When the government controls businesses isn’t that socialism? What happens to a free market when governments owns some companies?

Please add ICE to this list of agencies to dismantle.
If we want actual democracy again, 3 things need to be utterly decimated. Citizens United, The Federalist Society, and The Heritage Foundation. This triumvirate has caused and enabled all of this damage. Nearly every person in the Regime is linked to the 3. Overturning, defunding, and arresting

Just a reminder that the DREAM Act in 2010 had more votes to advance than the Senate had for this monster today. We shouldn’t radically changes laws by a 51 to 49 vote.

Trump's DHS is out of control! The violent treatment of Senator Alex Padilla is a stark reminder of the administration's authoritarian agenda. Trump's America is a dystopian nightmare.

Noem said the federal gov was in California to LIBERATE the city from its own elected representatives?! WTAF. No wonder Padilla had a fucking question to ask.

Strike one? Is Chuck the blind umpire or is he watching a different game? They arrested children, citizens, mayors, and now a senator!

Kristi Noem must resign. She has deported a four year old with cancer, detained a U.S. marshal, and arrested two members of Congress. She’s lost the confidence of the American people. ICE must stop terrorizing our communities.

In a statement, Frost notes an important detail to Alex Padilla, a sitting U.S. senator, being assaulted by federal agents today:

“They did it in broad daylight. Imagine what they're doing behind closed doors to migrant men, women, and children.

“This isn’t America. This is fascism.”

What happened to Senator Padilla is horrifying. When will this administration stop with its authoritarian overreach?

Senator Padilla was driven violently to his knees–as if made to kneel before the authority of the executive–because the administration called his questions “disrespectful”.

This should offend not just the other 99 Senators. It should offend the conscience of this country.

The new US policy’s racism towards refugees could not be more clear. Trump supports white supremacy. Full stop.

We welcome white Afrikaners, but repeal safe haven status to people from Haiti, Venezuela, Cuban and Nicaragua who are already in US LEGALLY adapting to new lives. Shame on Trump & on us.

As the Musk/Trump abomination seeks to revoke SSNs from legal migrants to force self deportation, the US will lose up to $5b that undocumented pay into the system. This will have the side effect of bankrupting Social Security sooner (already expected to run out of money in 2032).
