Agree. Patel is most likely a red herring - to distract from the other crazies being nominated.
I would place my bet on Kash Patel never getting confirmed. I don't think Trump even thinks he will. While everyone is focused on the nutbags he's nominating, the real dirty work is being done elsewhere. It's how he's always worked.
