Incredible to learn you can be thrown out of the Conservative Party for "secret plotting"

I think there is genuine confusion amongst MAGA and in particular Trump over Greenland @mrjamesob.bsky.social. The belief about how exceptional the USA means they can’t comprehend on any level why Greenlanders would not WANT to be American. Trump honestly thinks that everyone wants to be American

I think you may find article salient @mrjamesob.bsky.social particularly when it comes to the U.K. and what you call it the ‘footballfaction’ of politics. centerforpolitics.org/crystalball/...
Minneapolis and the Narrative Election: When Reality Itself Becomes Contested - Sabato's Crystal Ball
The killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis, and the immediate, starkly divided reactions to it, illustrate how Americans now disagree not just over policy, but over basic facts, even with video evidence available to all.

So Nadim Zahawi is the latest failed Tory to join the re-branded, even more racist Tories - the Reform Party!

I've debated Zahawi in the past, and he really is extraordinarily poor.
Oh, & a hypocrit of course, as a refugee himself who'd deny his own family refuge now.

Nadim Zahawi arrived in the UK from Iraq as a child refugee. His family claimed asylum once they were here. Today he has joined Reform who will stop all in country asylum applications. Under his new party, his own family fleeing persecution would be immediately deported.

"More and more, Reform UK looks simply as if the Tories ran off stage, then came back on two minutes lates, wearing a comedy moustache-and-glasses disguise."

A rebranding exercise of the most established party masquerading as anti-establishment that shows total contempt for voters. ~AA

Reform are simply becoming a second home for Conservative Politicians.

Nigel Farage is filling his ranks with ex-Conservative Ministers while no doubt telling everyone that he will fix all the mistakes caused by these same politicians!

I’m currently reading How They Broke Britian @mrjamesob.bsky.social and I’m reminded of the character assassination of Ed Miliband via his father and tbh this is the same vein. To blame Milliband for everything is beyond ludicrous apple.news/AZJ13r2-gSL2...

If leases aren’t defended, someone forgot to tell the British Army in Hong Kong.

Trump, being confidently inadequate as usual.

It was actually over a 1,000 years ago and also the Vikings discovered North America 500 years before Columbus.
Trump: "I'm a fan of Denmark too. They've been very nice to me. But the fact that they had a boat land there [Greenland] 500 years ago doesn't mean they own the land. I'm sure we had lots of boats go there also."

This is also a surprising result @iandunt.bsky.social because it proves that voters have the memory of a goldfish. U.K. tried this kind of leader with Boris Johnson and was a complete disaster. Have many of the voters already forgotten what that kind of leader looks like in practice?

As Starmer said in 2003 @iandunt.bsky.social no one shed any tears over the ending of Saddam Hussien’s regime but it still didn’t make the Iraqi invasion legal. As with today no one will shed any tears over Maduro’s removal but it is still illegal www.theguardian.com/politics/200...

Rubio - Maduro is not the legitimate President he clearly didn’t win the election

Trump - Machado won’t be the new President because she doesn’t have enough support

This is after Machado won the election with lots of support.

Well if there’s one good thing, we’ve learned over the last few decades that people always embrace the US and democracy after their leaders are removed by the US military. So this should work out — hold on, I’m getting an update …
