This sounds reasonable but is 100% wrong. Whether you or agree or disagree with a study is completely immaterial. What matters is whether the study was conducted properly and generates valid results. And it's impolitic to say but it's true: you have to have some level of expertise to judge that.

IMHO the Dems were placed in an impossible position by Trump. He was clearly prepared to allow people to starve to death. He relied on the compassion and decency of the Democrats not to allow that to happen. This should be the message pushed by the Dems for the midterms

As @iandunt.bsky.social points out there is no point BBC trying to placate the populist far right when the populist far right want to destroy the BBC and its model of impartiality and bias simply because they want the BBC to adopt their bias.

My advice to the Home Secretary @mrjamesob.bsky.social is that if you have safe, legal and authorised routes for genuine asylum seekers then you don’t need to deter genuine asylum seekers from taking authorised routes. Safe and legal routes DO work. We have seen this with the Ukrainian scheme

This is strange analysis by Sky News @mrjamesob.bsky.social on Reeves. It appears to be saying if someone doesn’t do what they say they will it’s somehow your fault if they don’t do it.
