Oi, America - please come collect your geriatric orange demagogue.

He’s threatening Europe again and we’re all very tired. Enough of this shit now.

Signed,

So Nigel Farage, who turned up to 1 out of 43 Fishing Ministery meetings as an MEP, who doesn’t hold constituency surgeries, who frequently doesn’t attend PMQs today doesn’t attend his leaders interview on Kuenssberg.

It seems he loves contentious shit stirring but not accountability or democracy.

Week by week - Laura Kuenssberg is interviewing the party leaders.

When I agreed to come on the show, I was told Nigel Farage was also doing it.

He's now pulled out - and they've sent the deputy instead.

The same Nigel Farage who's refusing to debate me.

A pattern emerging...

Trump doesn't grasp (or care?) that his bullying use of tariffs as 'diplomacy' simply imposes extra costs on US consumers/businesses.
He seems convinced US public will swallow the idea that other countries pay a tax to the US Treasury. Are they that gullible? Is that a rhetorical Q?

Why didn't #bbclaurak also ask Tice's opinion on Zahawi? With Jenrick jumping ship, Zahawi's managed to escape closer scrutiny.

"How do you like your coffee, #RichardTice?"

"The question is getting the coffee right, Laura".

"Yes, but how do you like it?"

"The point about coffee is it has to be made according to individual preference".

"But what's your preference?"

"It has to be specific to my needs..."

Catching up with #bbclaurak & surprised LK thinks Starmer should have knee-jerk reacted by picking up the phone and shouting at Trump. I'm sure there will be a more considered response in conjunction with the rest of NATO to Trumps' bullying tactics

Trump does realise that the tariffs are basically an import tax paid ultimately by American consumers, doesn't he?
Doesn't he??
He doesn't think Europeans pay it to the US, does he?
Surely nobody is suggesting Trumponomics is illiterate??
Trump announced a 10% tariff on European countries that oppose his ambition of annexing Greenland.

The tariffs come into effect on February 1. If no resolution about annexation is reached on June 1, the tariffs will jump to 25%.

The EU must retaliate with the same import tariffs on US goods.
Trump to impose tariffs on European nations over Greenland
Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden, France, the UK, the Netherlands and Finland to face a 10% tariff beginning February 1. Trump said tariffs will be in place until "a deal is reached" on Greenland.

A week and a bit into the job search, so obviously going to keep re-upping this. Pretty sure that this is the worst time of year to be looking for jobs in my area, but if you are looking for a Comms, policy, advocacy person, or know someone who is, please do let me know or share.

Sadly it is official, my current employment contract finishes at the end of March. It has been a fantastic three years at Migrant Voice. If you, or someone you know, knows of job opportunities for an experienced policy, advocacy and comms person, across multiple sectors, please do let me know.

Given the known incidents involving Maccabi fans in Spain, Turkey, Stuttgart, Amsterdam and even Israel, the ban was justified.
But the CC's approach to the whole thing was totally incompetent, both before (AI use) and after (Parlt committee).

Nobody should *ever* trust any AI results - using AI is perfectly fine, but checking the results is essential.
That's not an AI error, it's human error. In many cases laziness, or flawed human input, or simply an absence of critical thinking.

Trump is spouting errant nonsense about security re Greenland.
Greenland is in NATO, the US can flood it with troops etc.
Trump clearly doesn't value NATO, and the rest of NATO need to recognise that.
But of course Trump just wants exclusive access to the rare earths & minerals.

You need to realise, Emily Thornberry, that Labour communications has been appalling, because few people know anything about the achievements you refer to.
Yes, you are fighting a largely hostile media, but you make it worse with unclear and vacillating policies.

I'm not sure Son-of-Shah is the answer to Iran's problems, especially given his known links to Israel.
But I expect Trump will praise any move to install a US-friendly leader.
