Retired, but only from work. I care about our planet, its climate and biodiversity. I want it to be a fit place for my grandchildren. I care about democracy and the truth.
Just arrived from the other place where numbers were falling and hate was rising.
In Jan 2020 I posted on X:
I will be angry when the Russia Report is eventually published and it shows sufficient interference to rule the Referendum unsafe. The MSM will all make a big thing of it having completely ignored their job of getting it in the public domain before the damage was done.

So South West Water, 6 days since we reported a problem with our water supply. Little or no help from Source for Business. Contacted South West Water Help on X and initially had good responsive reply with promise of contact before end Friday. Now Monday and no progress. What are you going to do?

Don’t you just love water privatisation!
Business in South Devon finds high levels of phosphates in their supply and want it checked out urgently.
The supplier, South West Water won’t talk to us because we need to deal with their retailer, Source for Business, who do not see the urgency

Just an observation.
I posted the same post about Farage at the same time on Bluesky and on X.
On Bluesky, with 551 followers, it got 75 reposts and 186 likes.
On X, with over 13,000 followers, it got 148 views with 1 repost and 4 likes!!
Seems strange doesn’t it?!?

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell.

Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass.

That, right there, is the problem.

@BBCNews @SkyNews Can't you see how pitiful your coverage is at the moment??
- Constant PR on Farage until he's exposed in the US then silence.
- Hounding Rayner whilst having ignored Tory issues multiple times bigger.
- Giving Reform a platform whilst ignoring Lib Dems & Greens.

Farage heading up the @BBCNews again today. Who the hell is deciding what the main stories are? He certainly shouldn’t be one. Reform has 4/5 MPs and continue their one trick pony of dog-whistle politics around immigration.
Virtually all the media in the UK are actively stirring it up

The Palantir involvement with the UK govt and our data is deeply dangerous.
The company & its co-founder, Peter Thiel, get a lot out of the £330m contract with the NHS but all we get is the risk of our data (and yes patient data belongs to the patient) being misused. 1/2

Once poisonous US food is allowed here, we wont get a choice over whether to avoid it or not. Sure, we might be able to buy "British Chicken", but you'd never know where the chicken in the chicken pie at the supermarket or the restaurant came from. You'd never be able to make the choice.

Straight up thuggery from Trump and Vance today.

Zelensky is both brave and a patriot – things that they know nothing of.

Despite endless stories that suggest the opposite, unemployment has stayed steady - & historically low at 4.4%

The panic about too many people & too many of them being on benefits is misplaced.

The problem is the wealth we all create goes only to the rich #r4today

So, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth tells Europe that US doesn’t believe a Ukraine in NATO & doesn’t want to fund Ukraine.
This is BIG. Raises new question, though. Why doesn't Europe consider dropping US from NATO?!? Smaller yes, but large enough to protect Europe. Let the US isolate

‘Bizarre’ rule means bus cannot stop in Somerset villages

At a moment when we desperately need a fragile truce to hold, Trump’s ramblings on Gaza risk having the effect of a bull in a china shop.

The UK needs to make clear that these proposals must be rejected, and that we support international law and a two state solution based on 1967 borders.

Trump has clearly not spoken to a single Palestinian about this plan. Gaza is our land. Palestine is our home. Peace cannot come at the cost of our country.

I urge the UK and the whole international community to resist him.

Recognise Palestine now, before it's too late.

The Law as it is already written states that when it goes bankrupt its operation automatically returns to the Government, but its £19bn in debts don't.

That is exactly what must happen.
