I love a good story where unlikely collaborations pave the way for some really cool advances, & this story did not disappoint! Dr. John Eiler (geochemistry rock star—pun intended!) has been working with Dr. Thomas Piper & other #anti-doping experts to improve doping detection in sports. #scicomm 🧪
Dr. John Eiler is using #massspectrometry technology to identify the exact locations of isotopes in atoms in a PCC-funded research project to detect the molecular isotopic structures of substances in #antidoping samples.

I enjoyed speaking with Dr. Rahul Gupta in this interview about his work in drug control policy, including initiatives to address the opioid epidemic, save lives, protect clean sport, & improve public health.
