Could one envision a synthetic receptor technology that is fully programmable, able to detect diverse extracellular antigens – both soluble and cell-attached – and convert that recognition into a wide range of intracellular responses, from gene expression and real-time fluorescence to modulation..

Scientists, academics, researchers: We’re excited to share that @altmetric.com is now tracking mentions of your research on Bluesky! 🧪
There are already many articles for which there is more attention on Bluesky than on other comparable micro-blogging sites, meaning the academic community and the general public have clearly adopted Bluesky as one of its core places to disseminate and discuss new research.

A Place of Joy.

The auspicious appearance of @jbhuang0604.bsky.social on Bluesky inspires me to look back at my notes on “how to get cool research ideas,” which I started jotting down way back in 2001, at the start of @belongielab.bsky.social at UC San Diego (1/18)

Great charting advice 📊 while the thread does not blame anyone specifically, I have always wondered why the defaults of most charting libraries and tools are so bad (looking at you excel and matplotlib).
Trying something new:
A 🧵 on a topic I find many students struggle with: "why do their 📊 look more professional than my 📊?"

It's *lots* of tiny decisions that aren't the defaults in many libraries, so let's break down 1 simple graph by @jburnmurdoch.bsky.social
