We're glad to have co-signed this complaint to @rte.ie . Appalling that our national broadcaster did not address climate change in the Presidential debates. Young people deserved to hear what their next President thought on the issue most shaping their future.

We agree @darylfeehely.com . Prime Time were emailed by many people about including climate change as a key issue last night. What a message it sends to children and young people that their national broadcaster actively chose to exclude the issue that will most determine their collective futures.
Not that fox hunting, a trip to Syria etc aren't relevant issues, but it would have been great if they were asked a forward looking Q about climate change & how they will use the Presidency to promote climate action.

You know, the massive existential threat to society, that issue.

We fully agree @caugustenborg.bsky.social . @rte.ie has most especially failed children and young people on this issue. They should know what the next President's views are on the issue which will most shape their collective futures.
I'm heart broken Ireland's national broadcaster stuck to same old 7 questions tonight on #áras25 presidential debate & avoided the climate question several of us begged them to ask. We learned nothing new of candidates' positions on major global/national challenges. RTE has failed the public.

🤨We've emailed the Taoiseach after his shocking comments saying he doesn't think we "can mitigate for climate change". It's the State's duty to protect kids from harm through urgent reduction in pollution.

📨Will you remind him of this too? Take 2 minutes and email taoiseach@taoiseach.gov.ie.
