Friends—I need you to connect to your rapid response in your city. Your ICE watch. If you don’t have one, start one. I’m watching Minneapolis and we need to be prepared for what comes next. Know the activists in our neighborhoods. If you don’t know your rights now is the time to learn. Have a plan.
“They couldn’t break me by arresting me,” Ms. Levy Armstrong said, “so they doctored an image to show the world a false iteration of that time to make me look weak.”

”Reducing my image to some scared crying woman was just so degrading, & it just shows how far the office of the president has fallen”

Worth reiterating that this entire crisis is manufactured by people who just want to harm, harass, incarcerate, and deport black and brown people. They’ve said as much. There is no “immigration crisis“ and even “reasonable“ concerns about the labor market, wages, welfare, etc. are unfounded.

Jumping to the end, Judge Reyes summarizes why she is blocking the termination of Haitian TPS for now, making clear that Secretary Noem had to follow the law and the facts, and having neither, chose instead to "pound X" with an irrelevant screed about immigrant killers.

I don’t think I can say this forcefully enough: hundreds of thousands of Haitians will lose status tomorrow with racist ending of their TPS & are spending today refreshing their feeds for a court order that could literally save thier lives.

This is nothing short of psychosocial torture.

DHS doesn’t even bother trying to lie well. The man whose skull was shattered told the hospital he’d been struck by ICE officers, an ICE officer told hospital staff the guy “got his sh*t rocked,” then when it became clear how badly he was injured, they claimed he deliberately ran into a wall.

Any system in which a child dies because they were denied access to adequate medical care needs to be abolished, not reformed.
Anadith Danay Reyes Álvarez died in government custody.

She had sickle cell and congenital heart disease but couldn’t access timely and adequate medical care.

We need to reform immigration detention.

It’s great that people who work for Palantir are realizing “ICE are the bad guys.” Welcome aboard. Let’s organize together!

But as someone who used to protest outside Palantir HQ in Palo Alto in *2019*, I am fucking baffled that it took you this long to realize ICE/Palantir are the bad guys.
