The longstanding Charles Sumner elementary school in Boston is merging with another BPS school next year into the Sarah Roberts school.

Sarah Roberts was the 5yo plaintiff in the first school segregation case in 1849, and she was represented by Charles Sumner and Robert Morris.
What did Sumner do to deserve the acclaim? Well, he collaborated with 26 year old Black lawyer Robert Morris on the first interracial legal team in American history. They tried to integrated Boston schools at the Mass Supreme Court.

Trans kids suffer when they don't get medically-necessary care. This is a brazen political decision by the Supreme Court.

My heart is with trans kids and their loved ones. I won’t stop fighting to make sure they can be exactly who they are.
