So here's this North Yorkshire Police speed camera van parked outside our house on a road which has a 30 limit, widely ignored. Of course traffic is creeping past it. If the police had any intention of catching speeding motorists it would be disguised as a bread van.

Borrowing an idea from @nkdgardener.bsky.social this is also worth half an hour of anyone's time. This programme was so much part of my growing up.

It's just winging its way to my "device"...
I'm going to enjoy this!
If, when I was a kid scribbling my little stories into a foolscap, you'd told me that one day my book would be right next to Oscar Wilde in a niche chart on an online shop, I'd have asked how you got into my house.

Well, last week was the 50th anniversary of the start of Pennine Radio in #Bradford - being 14 years old at its start it was a great influence on me. Two things I heard on it first: the death of #Elvis & the arrest of Peter Sutcliffe. Who else remembers Dorothy Box?

#OTD 42 years ago (2 September 1983 to be exact) a scarily random series of events led me to meet this lovely guy.
Still together.

A wonderful find - a very dangerous bookshop to browse. Eclectic, slightly bonkers and peaceful. Everything a good bookshop should be.

Had a great journey earlier this week to the lovely city of Hereford on one of the ex LNER trainsets operated by TfW and on the journey I discovered that the Welsh for "flush" is Fflysh and now my life is complete.

A not uncommon situation to be seen at King's Cross but still worth a pic...9 platforms on the main line side all occupied. Taken about 10:35 Monday 9 June.
