Then it is over to the Americas, where Seán walks us through the “Forbidden Door” at London’s O2 Arena, before David provides us with coverage of WWE's "Summerslam" weekend and Peter gives us the run-through on Netflix's "Unreal" series on WWE creative.

We should probably be talking more about how WWE effectively bought a massive amount of positive media coverage by taking a lower money deal with ESPN in exchange for the treatment that ESPN gives its content partners.

Having the ability to read this before it went live, I can say this is probably the only article on Hogan I will ever read, but it is a very thorough look at his career and the terrible things that shaped the lasting impressions people had of him as a person. I thoroughly enjoyed this piece.
In our Retro section, Peter Edge brings us a full look at the reactions to the passing of Hulk Hogan, the difficulties in splitting man from character and a full account of his journey and impacts on the wrestling business.

As well as the Hogan obit, I reviewed Summer Sizzler and hopefully I didn't upset anyone this time.
In our Europe section, travel to Wolverhampton (exotic I know) with Peter Edge for Rev Pro's "Summer Sizzler" before we see how Progress are setting up their summer at "Stay Humble". We also have plenty of news from across the continent.

On the way back from a 12 hr shift all tired and ready to crash when back home, I find out about Hulk's death and after a group chat discussion, I'm starting an obit that night.

I'm going to piss people off with this but I also hope people can read this and understand what a bellend Hulk Hogan was.

Having been at the two Rev Pro Mercedes has worked, it's obvious how much the women's scene in Britain is going to benefit from Mone.

She made Kanji look great in Doncaster and she brought a lot of eyes on Safire Reed, who has IT. Trust me on that one and Mone can only help others going forward
Mercedes Mone is the first time a wrestler holding a bunch of different belts simultaneously has ever been treated by fans as anything other than incredibly cool, right?

Is it literally just racism and misogyny, or is there something else going on too? (It's probably mostly racism and misogyny.)

God I'm exhausted after that

Safire Reed is the real deal. The future is radioactive

Mercedes was in the main event of Wrestlemania and fucking Star Wars.

She doesn't need to wrestle in Wolverhampton on a Friday night. She WANTS to. To raise up women like Safire who slog with grit and passion for small crowds.

She wants them to be a big deal too.

Slander will not be heard. 🤼

There was a time where a legend in wrestling would show up and the cocky heel would beat up the old legend and get a ton of heat out of it.

Now legends show up with the purpose of getting themselves over--which isn't surprising given who is running the company.
The way Trick Williams sold this Undertaker chokeslam
