Thekla being the natural progression for Stat's next challenge makes so much sense. She's been circling around to everybody she fought in the 4-way at Full Gear and has produced some excellent feuds with them. It's only right Thek would be next.

I don't see TNA wrestlers winning NXT championships either, so.....
He's not wrong. You don't see NJPW benefitting from the partnership. No NJPW guys have captured AEW gold. It's always AEW capturing NJPW gold. It's the same with CMLL. Maybe it can happen with the International Championship & the National Championship #AEW #WrestleSky

But the roster over time improved, the young talent moved light years past him and AEW outgrew him. It's been time for him to go.
