I live in Wales and today received my Join Us letter from Reform UK, complete with SAE which I posted back to them, immediately, empty. If every other person in Wales did this, Reform would spend over £1.5 million on postage. Not sorry. Join me Cymru.

Dear Bluesky,
www.thenerve.news is still tiny. We launched it with no dirty money (no money at all, lol!). But we're proving what's possible with a small expert team & no billionaire owners.

We knew the UK press wouldn't understand or properly cover this story, so we did. Thank you for the support!
This is the Observer's coverage of the Reform Russian Spie Scandal... 600 words on page 22 of the printed newspaper.

New mural in Wrexham’s Argyle Arch, depicting the Art Treasures Exhibition of 1876. Painted by the supremely talented ‘Art Bunny’ (find online). I wrote about the 1876 event in an article (2017) & recently gave a talk as part of Wxm Unis. ‘research talks’ programme. Lovely to see this #wrexham

Maybe we should consider who stands to gain from the possible demise of the BBC, and temper claims of bias with that in mind.

Is the BBC institutionally biased in favour of liberal voices ? I don’t know. But let’s ask several prominent Tories and a numerous right wing newspaper columnists what they think.

Next week is welcome week and, for the first time ever, the university I work at will offer no courses at all from the Humanities. I am immeasurably sad about this😢. #History, #Humanities

Decades of mechanistic talk about university degrees as if they were bundles of 'skills' and 'prep' are about to be proved completely wrong (obviously). Want to get a real boost? Do History or English.

The disappearance of public adult education in the UK over the past twenty years - whether local authority or government - is a national disgrace.
Devastated that the Centre for Lifelong Learning @york.ac.uk is being closed after 40 years. What a loss to education in the region. Feel for students and staff. Being a tutor has been joy, doing what universities should be doing by sharing knowledge widely with our communities.

It turns out you can't threaten to decimate the history and heritage of an entire region of the UK without serious opposition from the public. Please lend us your voice - History and Heritage have been a staple of Bangor for a century and a half, and is in danger of being destroyed.
