New mural in Wrexham’s Argyle Arch, depicting the Art Treasures Exhibition of 1876. Painted by the supremely talented ‘Art Bunny’ (find online). I wrote about the 1876 event in an article (2017) & recently gave a talk as part of Wxm Unis. ‘research talks’ programme. Lovely to see this #wrexham

Great win for Wrexham tonight against Hull, storming comeback led by Ollie P. Talking of iconic strikers, nice to see this too (and Mo Faal scored winner for Port Vale) #wrexham #AskWxm

I think student loans/interest are an abomination but the ‘£200k’ students mentioned here studied 4 or 5 different courses each, which is very unusual! The piece does acknowledge the avg. debt is £48k - maybe go with this headline (it’s shocking enough!)

Not sure if it’s the historian in me, but if a tagline claims that ‘many are asking whether the chancellor will survive in post’ I’d expect to see some evidence from at least one of those ‘many’ in the accompanying piece🤔

There are many questions I can think to ask about the re-emergence of a ‘Hitler’ diary, but I must admit this isn’t one of them…

Anyway, my Sainsbury’s shopping review for ‘24 is in. I ate them so you didn’t have to.

Hmm, I don’t know - maybe Next could absorb the budget-related staff rise itself from its £1bn profit!

Hmm, having taught many students whose first HE experience was in their 60s+, there’s prob a lot of research that could be done on the money society actually saves (NHS etc) by bringing together people in ‘later’ life who are energised by learning and revitalised by the friendships they form.
