Yes The Roses debut was great but as a 17yr old I saw Primal Scream open their Reading set to air raid sirens into Swastika Eyes and it was one of the most unexpected and thrilling things I'd experienced. XTRMNTR remains seminal for me.

Gary “Mani” Mounfield, best known as a founding member and bassist of the Stone Roses, has died aged 63. The cause of death has not been shared.

What was remarkable about the Sea Power sets at @krankenhausfest.bsky.social was the strength of the songs they could leave out: Remember Me, Oily Stage, Atom, Lights Out, Bohemian, Machineries, PSU, Zeus, St Louis, Lakeland... They could easily have done another Greatest Hits set. Incredible band
