Who funds the Free Speech Union?
Toby Young’s outfit went to court to hide its donors. Today we reveal that funders include US anti-abortion groups, Brexit politicians and Tufton Street insiders.

It is an unusually fast multinational military response from EU countries. To come to a decision and xecute all within 24 hours... that is a first, i think.

I guess the cry of "only the strong survive" from an ex-ally is sufficient to wake the European beast.

Tell you what, if the USA invades an EU country, I'll be saddened and pissed. The end of NATO will mean a direct shooting war with Russia very soon, as well as a showdown between Taiwan and China.
The global economy will be wrecked by the end of 2026.

This would still not be the worst of D.Trump.

Against whom?

Minnesota?
Cuba?
Denmark?
Iran?
China?
All of South America?

All of them?

I've been wondering how Trumpers view the violent and threatening with violence moves by the US both inside and outside?
Maybe they think, that 'the USA have been way too shy about its own strength, time to show some teeth'. Others might think, 'good, monetize our power'.

Then they stop thinking.

The USA administration could have played the case of the shooting of a civilian in many different ways.
They could have said it was a tragic thing that happened, urging restraint before all facts are known, and an investigation concluded etc.
They instead chose to aggrevate, big time.

Why?

Democracy often requires sacrifice.

We need to be willing to throw our bodies upon the gears of fascism to slow them down and try to stop them.

Those of us with less to lose should be willing to sacrifice so that those with children who stand to inherit our future can benefit.

I am beyond angry.

Minnesota is one of the wealthiest, safest, and cleanest states in the country *because* of our openness and generosity.

Our quality of life is a direct challenge to their zero-sum worldview.

They want it formally dead, but NATO is already functionally dead as a geopolitical reality. Even if he backs down (wouldn't bet on it), there's no going back from sending European capitals into a spiraling panic that the US is seriously about to invade one of them. You can't unring that bell.
