I think this translates to "Well, China didn't do what I wanted so I'll try child psychology on them". (Also fun fact: Doesn't China own like a trillion or so worth of US debt?? I think this hand goes to China)
China doesn’t panic. This is just moronic.

If you're 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations.

If you're 45, that number is 74.7%.

If you're under 30, the number is 100%.

I mean sure, it is a GOP goal to get rid of SS, but Trump promised he wouldn't. That's worth something, right?????
What he said about Social Security payments has been repeatedly debunked - so the question isn’t whether he’s lying about this, the question is why.

What is this a pretext for? He and the GOP have long shown interest in going after Social Security. What are they going to try?

Haven't heard much from Donny Jr. Eric and Ivanka these days. They are all smarter than he is. They have to know he is burning it all down.

@gtconway.bsky.social @adamkinzinger.bsky.social is this actually a thing? The website makes it look like a scam. All these conservatives refocusing on America’s liberalism? Color me skeptical.

After a great interview by @andrewliptak.com and following @scalzi.com here on Bluesky, I have jumped into “Old Man’s War”. Not at all far in, but I really like the narrative style. Just came off “Neuromancer” which was pretty hard to read. #scifi #reading #books

I really don't know which name I like better... Wankpanzer or Swastikar. Trump, who campaigned against EVs and is willing to turn over the market to China, did allow a $400 million purchase of Cybertrucks for the State Department #tesla #cybertruck #ev #conflictofinterest

He could be any of the cabinet picks, but in this case it is Pete Hegseth. Hammer him on his lack of qualifications.
He is unqualified for the job period. The fact that he is a drunk is just icing. He is not qualified in any way whatsoever for the position.

So, Musk is sued for breaking law and not paying fine…. But here’s new playbook.
1. Break law - ignore it.
2. Get called out.
3. Scream ZOMG why are you persecuting me instead of real crime/criminals? Followers go nuts.
4. In this case, in 8 days SEC will be under billionaire control. Case dismissed

Small weenie president gets little johnson Speaker to disrespect former president to stroke his ego. Good news is... precedent set. When Trump passes they don't have to lower the flags at all if they don't want...flag code gone.
Johnson says flags will be raised for Trump’s inauguration
Mike Johnson said he is going to order that the Capitol's flags, which are at half-staff due to the death of Jimmy Carter, be raised for Donald Trump's inauguration.

No kidding...
While MAGA genuflects at altar of “meritocracy”—casting aspersions on women and non-Whites in the military, the Los Angeles fire department, and the Supreme Court—they suspend all critical evaluation of TV hosts, tech bros, and billionaires.

The big question is why insurers wouldn’t want to cover these relatively inexpensive tests that allow them to catch cancer early, when it is easier to cure and thus cheaper for them in the long-run.

The Supreme Court will hear a challenge to a provision of the Affordable Care Act that requires insurers to cover the cost of preventative health treatments such as cancer screenings.

Two Republican senators have said they expect the new Republican-led Congress to ask for a laundry list of requirements to be met before allocating desperately needed disaster aid to authorities in wildfire-ravaged Los Angeles.
