None of my posts are medical advice. They are all my own opinions. Mostly unreasonable and interesting only to me. A “no” on imperialism. Enjoy!
More like The Judge from Blood Meridian or like Ahab from Moby Dick?
Gift link to the most frightening article I've ever read. Trump isn't just an existential threat to America; he's an extential threat to humanity. This is the scariest thing I've ever read in my life.

RFK Jr. is ignoring decades of reliable science and making our children less safe—this is the latest step. The Secretary of Health and Human Services is supposed to protect the health of the American people. Instead, at every turn, RFK Jr. actively chooses to make our country sicker.

If you’re wondering whether people are aware when they are citizens of a collapsing empire, the answer is yes, yes we are.

Read the whole thread. Gregg is right. It’s NOT a question of “experts disagree.” I’ve been working in medicine, medical journalism or global health for 32 years & know a LOT of health professionals—I do not know a *single one* who supports RFK Jr’s dangerous dismantling of the US vaccine system.
Children will die with RFK Jr.'s new vaccine recommendations. We're NOT doing the "experts disagree" game. The US vaccine schedule was painstakingly constructed through a deep & thorough process by experts with unquestionable expertise. This is policy by fiat. It is pre-meditated murder. 1/

This concludes my live-posting of the annual Moby Dick reading marathon.

Tune in this time next year.

Stay true, New Bedford!

Can’t say enough about how cool this event is. I was there yesterday. When Reggie Gibson read, “Call me … Ishmael,” there was such a roar from the crowd.
We’re officially 23 hours and 35 minutes into the Moby Dick reading marathon! It’s the part where people read sections in different languages. Here’s a high school humanities teacher from Pennsylvania kicking it off with German.

We’re at chapter 129, continuously read by over 200 readers.

Now back to in-person live reading…

I hope the Dickinson book spontaneously caught fire in his hands.
A 2003 LA Times story featured Santa Monica HS senior Stephen Miller saying he was glad he didn't have to write term papers because it would interfere with his other activities. He's holding books by Poe and Dickens, plus 2 by Larry Elder and one by National Rifle Association chief Wayne LaPierre.
