Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Also, something most UBI naysayers love to claim is that people will just waste it on drugs, but yet again, as observed over and over again, there was no such impact of statistical significance, especially in Group A who got $1000/mo.

It was not a landslide. It certainly was not an “unprecedented and powerful” mandate, as Donald Trump boasted. On Election Night 2024, as votes were still being counted, Americans were lead to believe that Trump had achieved a sweeping victory. In part, media outlets must assume part of the blame…
