Hard to disagree with anything in this thread.
Earlier the government reversed its decision to delay elections in 30 areas across England. This is a welcome decision. At the @instituteforgovernment.org.uk we've previously argued elections should only be delayed in exceptional circumstances.

Excellent news that the previously-cancelled elections in Peterborough and 29 other councils will now go ahead. Incidentally this means that a second by-election in Peterborough's Fletton and Woodston ward will not now go ahead. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
