Heads up to artists still using Twitter- Twitter is now adding an "Edit image" button under all images posted on the site that allows everyone to feed it into genAI and modify it as they wish with a prompt

![I consider every game I've made in the past 27 years to be my magnum opus. Hundred Line is certainly one of the most significant among them. Perhaps one day it will be remembered as "the last large-scale epic written entirely without the help of Al." Maybe even in the history of humanity, it could be one of the final works created purely by human hands. After humanity goes extinct, perhaps the surviving Als will display it in the Smithsonian.

Using gen ai for text and asset placeholders is not solving a problem; games have been made for decades with regular placeholders. studios using AI this way are just testing the water to see what more they can get away with - which will inevitably mean laying off skilled workers, to make worse games

Larian's horrible hirring process is an open secret in the industry – insane amounts of unpaid work in "writing tests", excessive numbers of interviews, months and months of back and forth, etc. Everyone in games narrative circles has heard the stories at this point, probably from multiple people.
I know this because they tried to recruit me and I strongly considered it but they’re also a “do an unpaid writing test where you have to also make it playable” company so that’s not something I vibe with
