Basically seems like Trump is trying to get Ukraine to yield to Putin's demands.

The plan "would amount to Ukraine giving up its sovereignty... cede the remainder of the eastern Donbas region... that Russian be recognised as an official state language in Ukraine" etc.

Real talk: When was the last time your vote actually mattered in a California legislative race? Most districts are so safe that the primary decides everything.

#ProportionalRepresentation would make every vote count in every district. That's not radical—it's just fair.

Yes. The Big Two Parties (political-corporate class) in the UK, US and Canada benefit from the winner take all First Past The Post electoral system.

Most democracies switched to some variant of proportional representation years ago:

It's time we upgrade our system to a fair one. The proportion of seats ought to match the proportion of votes.

Proportional representation is popular!
48% yes, 19% no, 32% don't know for proportional representation. That's with very little public campaign for PR so far.

Tracks similar results we found a couple of years ago polling various reforms in Wyoming. It's not some wonky thing only nerds get. The concept is intuitive and naturally popular.
Wow! That's a lot higher support level than I expected. And that 32%"don't know" means there's a high ceiling

The biggest hurdle for PR isn't that it's too abstract or hard to explain. It's that "each party gets seats according to how many votes it gets" is how many people assume it already works! Isn't that just democracy? You have to explain that's not the case and they're instantly annoyed by finding out
