I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

I personally consider the boycott a success because it was a baby practice action for people who have never done that before. People got on board! They got to feel what it was like! It was easy! And when they get asked to do something next, they’ll have an experience to build off of.

my kingdom for an elected official who will stand up and defend the fact that the government employs people to test wastewater and send old people money and keep an eye on the bears in the park and make sue the people that scammed you

the number of calls needed to make the point that a given vote will cost them is lower than we think, a powerful argument in favor of focusing our energies. you take issue A. I take B. someone else takes C. we make our weekly rounds. no one has to deal with the whole firehose at once
The news sometimes gives you the impression that government is an unstoppable steamroller, but it’s not. The admin is trying a “shock and awe” because they can only win by tricking people into giving up.
I recently reposted a former congressional staffer who said that when an issue got 20-30 calls it would get representatives freaked out and ready to do something. It takes less than you’d think, because so few people actually take that kind of action

Yeah, how about not dissolving the air safety advisory commission at the FAA. As your team did last week.

Trump sows chaos in federal workforce then says “resign within a week and I’ll give you 7 months severance.” Don’t fall for it!  Trump told innumerable contractors he’d pay—then stiffed them. He has no authority to promise severance pay. Wait him out!

Trump offers all federal workers a buyout with 7 months' pay in effort to shrink size of government
The Trump administration says it will begin subjecting all federal employees to “enhanced standards of suitability and conduct” and is warning of future downsizing.

Lately i've been thinking about how many of the processes traditional media has used to build trust (an editorial bureaucracy, lots of editing, making work more concise, and hiding a lot of that work & presenting a polished finished product) now read to audiences as inauthentic & less trustworthy
Yesterday I had a fellow YouTuber ask me how we ended up being a credible source of information to our audiences and I realized that you almost can’t be a professional creator /without/ doing that.

“Authentic” is very very connected to “trustworthy.”
