Right. The point is not “it matters extra because it’s a citizen,” the point is “we either hang together or we will all hang separately.”
i think it is ok to reiterate that the victim as a us citizen. yes, noncitizens are equally entitled to human rights. but also, it's important to illustrate how ice isn't about immigration at all

Ke$ha's 'Tik tok' (2009) and Lady Gaga's 'Just Dance (2008) reflect how much millennials loved getting shitfaced in the late oughts

Instagram is borderline unusable now. It shows me random reels when tapping a shared link or swiping left on a carousel, and I was careful about where my screen contact was. Utter trash!

I'd pay a small fee to reduce the entire app to just sharing and viewing photos of friends and family.

My wife finished her rewatch of Gilmore Girls. I didn't watch every single episode, but I found it very endearing with really sharp writing! I can see why it has such a strong following.

it’s going to be weird going back to work and people talking like everything is normal. like in a final fantasy game when someone’s summoned a meteor from hell to destroy the planet and the villagers still only talk about the big chocobo pageant coming up

Politics hasn't been this simple in a long time: do you think it's good for one man to exercise unchecked, arbitrary power or not. Those are the two available ideologies right now

By the way, Steve Harrington 100% grows up to be MAGA. Sorry but true.
Not gonna nitpick Stranger Things. I'm glad this show was brought into our lives and became such a big part of the zeitgeist. I liked the finale and thought it stuck the landing. Thanks for the journey.

It's been a very challenging year but the wife and I made some nice memories together, too. Still struggling with the state of it all but grateful for the happy moments.

"New Year" is pretty optimistic framing. Should just be called Next Year. Happy next year

The landline+mobile phone paradigm was really superior. Your home phone was for business, listed in the yellow pages. But you only shared your mobile number with close contacts, and by doing so, you tightly controlled who could reach you. Now anyone can reach you in multiple ways wherever you are.

Saw a vanity plate on a Camaro ZL1 that read "ZL1ERIK", which is cute like when a kid writes their name on the tag of their underwear.

If you want to afford a home you should cut back on luxuries - your phone, pool, pets, and cigarettes. Then find a room to rent for 50 cents.

Let the Spotify algo take the wheel and it started playing an AI cover of a Daft Punk song.

We can't keep doing this. We need to buy CDs and Blu-rays. We have to shop in person. I feel like Matthew Lillard's character in SLC Punk after he cleans up and goes straight.
