It’s fascinating to me that someone close to him hasn’t explained to him how his “numbers“ just don’t jive. They literally rely on the ignorance and stupidity of Maga people. Is there not one among them who can deduce that a 700% reduction in price is logistically impossible? Holy fuck they’re dumb.

FLASHBACK: BYRD’S WORDS

Tennesseans read Rep. David Byrd’s own words aloud - from his apology for abusing young girls.

Republican legislators did nothing.

He was re-elected.

This what @aftynbehn.bsky.social was protesting.

This is what they’re attacking her for. #TN7

I subscribe to @theatlantic.com not because I consistently agree with it but because it is brilliant. Truly, one of the great magazines of the world.
A couple of people here and there still check in and take a look at it

One of the weirdest things during the campaign was Trump talking about money. He clearly had no idea what 5 dollars can buy or what a tank of gas costs. Yet that fact never gained any traction among big foot pundits.
Every time I listen to Trump, Bessent or Lutnick talk about economic conditions, it is always completely obvious how utterly disconnected they are from the everyday struggles the average American working family is dealing with right now. They simply can’t relate to normal people.
