Variety’s article is truly terrible, making it sound like JKR had a few tweets in 2020 instead of being a constant harasser of trans people’s right to exist, as well as funding some of what led to the absurd UK decision that makes using a bathroom a fraught activity.
A "very good friend" of John Lithgow with a trans child sent him a letter asking him to step away from the project.

When asked if it made him reconsider the role, Lithgow said, “Oh, heavens no.”

11 Broadway shows broke house records for the final week of 2023. The Lion King took the crown at $4.3 million (over 9 shows). Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, running 8, had the biggest week for a play ever, grossing $2.7m. Broadway’s 27 plays and musicals played to an average capacity of 95.83%.
