Saturday Exile c.2002 I am a phantasm. Haunting the doorstep, binliner of my life cushioning head. Ben Sherman shirts aren’t made for alfresco sleeping— cotton is cold at 2am. Greenery alongside cycle tracks cuts the risk of flooding by managing stormwater locally, the hedge also makes a nice barrier between bikes and motor vehicles, reducing spray from motor vehicles during rain, as well as improving the look of the street.

A new asset class is being identified as ‘Nature’s Economy’, where a country’s green spaces are targeted by a sovereign wealth fund controlled by a Saudi Prince, or Blackrock for example. This is global, but it is already happening in the UK and part of Zone Fever

BLOOD Peel away the shirtless blazer. Blood rings on the body left like coffee table stains hidden by wine glass stems in chic hotel rooms booked with stolen identities on cloned cell phones. Worthless spillage. It could have saved the life of a flatliner dead on arrival in the defunded ER’s frantic triage where holely hearts beat faster than hummingbird wings. I don’t care. No excuses no rhymes no muses. The painless pleasure beyond sense and serenity. I am the Everest the green koflach.

Maeve’s glove avoids the blood Assigned a coarse, chaotic, struggling school, both he and I, like to a desert beach, within the desiccated Larkin’s rule that he should never strive to overreach his pent-up realm, sought fruitful pertinence in Maeve’s unnoticed glove. Afghanistan, her lives and deaths, the bloody warzone whence he’d fled, left little space for Philip’s yarn in verse of how he’d tried to hear Maeve clapping on his radio. What was Phil’s point? Intelligent, polite, forthright, and strapping, his closest London friend in some dull joint had been stabbed dead, his blood soaked through the concrete floor.
