I think this counts as a winter storm - minus 10C with rain (?) and now horizontal snow. Very glad not to be driving anywhere right now. #yeg

This was a holiday card I painted several years ago. My husband suggested I paint "six geese a-honking" 🤣

So Edmonton - so winter- thank you for sharing!
#ArtAdventCalendar Day 14 - I try to stretch my neurons every now and then, setting down the camera and picking up a pencil or brush. My skill with drawing is definitely at the beginner level, but I feel it's important to do every now and then. (1/2)

Stunning Edmonton skies and spruce trees at dusk - no filters, no colour correction - just gorgeous purples, pinks and oranges at 5pm in early November. #ArtAdventCalendar

Corb Lund's "no coal on the eastern slopes" initiative petition has gone live with a web page to register your interest.
He's going to have to re-file now that Bill 14 has entered into force and quashed his original filing but he'll be looking for canvassers once it is re-accepted.

Okay I’m finally all caught up with this post (yay) for #ArtAdventCalendar day 6! One of about a gazillion beetle-inspired manicures I’ve done over the years. This one is Calligrapha beetle elytra! Sadly in real life they’re not shimmery and shifty like these ones, but they deserve the glow-up.

#artadventcalendar #day5 is a look at my workshop print for today. I've already had several excited art makers come thru and make custom prints with this set! There are 5 modular vertical strips to this one. I have several other pieces that can rotate in 🤩

Wonderful to see people’s creations on #artAdventCalendar thanks @jayispainting.earthskyart.ca for your work
We end day 5 of #artAdventCalendar with 517 participants. which is..ok.

Last year, we ended day 6 with 1003 so numbers are way down. Not sure why. (Maybe...looks around)

but regardless of the numbers, the art is still amazing.

Two hours after municipal polls close in Edmonton AB - no polls reporting. I guess counting by hand IS a wee bit slower than using machines to count. For a province that's touting AI and big data centres - there's something ironic about banning basic counting machines.

Many people in this city need a refresher on what to do and what not to do when traffic lights at multiple major intersections are out. Wrong answer - honk and drive through at high speed!

UK starting to heal Brexit wounds - turns out separatism wasn't a great thing after all
After years of denial, it's really striking that a UK government press release has just come out and said that Brexit was, you know, really bad for trade.
