Attention all Edinburgh & Dunfermline folks! Do you like free books?! Of course you do!

We will be leaving free book presents around small businesses over the next week or so. 'Tis the season to give back and shop local! Keep an 👀 out, only be one book per shop!

Happy hunting!

I finished “Sagittarius” last night (my first Ginzburg) and I can’t stop thinking about it. Might become a Natalia Ginzburg completist I fear

Your post reminds of an expression I read semi-recently: the internet was somewhere we used to visit and then leave; now it follows us wherever we go.

Genuinely cannot be understated how unwelcoming the lack of private accounts make this place
Bluesky is shrinking rather than growing. It has no source of revenue. If it doesn’t grow, *it will die*.

Constantly making it unwelcoming, saying who you don’t want here, setting rules for what other sites people should and shouldn’t use, and the like, will kill it quicker.

The “British person” in this instance was me; I do find it deeply amusing that, as well as being extremely racist about British Indians and their role in British food culture, this America has managed to name the curry that was most famously created in Britain
