Ford's Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center will also be renamed the Tennessee Truck Plant, where it will now make affordable gas-powered pickups instead.
Production of the all-electric Ford F-150 has come to an end. But the next one will be an extended-range electric vehicle, or EREV, with 700 miles of range.

But Ford announced other pivots back to gas today too:

One reason I expect 2026 could be surprisingly stronger for EVs than expected is the volume of leases rolling off.

As @patrickgeorge.bsky.social notes, it’ll be great for used EV sales. But it also means many EV lessees will be in the market for new vehicles.
