I keep telling people the best Democrat rep right now is the one that sits in the House and reads the paper and votes NO on everything. Let the Republicans make it work by themselves
This Speaker vote should remind all of us that literally nothing Republicans try to do will be easy, or a foregone conclusion. And often, they are going to have to come to Democrats to enact anything at all. We have lost power but we are not powerless.

If I had a Dem House Rep the best thing they could do over the next two years would be to sit on the floor of the House and read a book and vote no every chance they got. Not pass while T is president
he's a 78 year old incoming president via historically narrow margins promising fascism while ineligible for another term with a single vote to spare in the house, any democrat who looks at that situation and with a straight face says "we have to work with them" deserves to be ejected from the party

So much of the so-called culture wars comes down to dominant groups not being satisfied with all they already occupy and control and refusing to leave weirdos alone to exist in their little pockets of weirdo spaces in peace.

I don’t care if billionaires are good or bad people. I care that there are Astors hosting million dollar parties and showing up wearing so many diamonds that insurance company has a rep following the person around while literally in the same city, there are children going to bed hungry.
