“I will write, without stopping, until I run out of puff.” David Greig on his creative process aboard a Nordic cruise.
Finding Inspiration (and Joy) While Drafting Among the Fjords
My writing process begins with taxi drivers. Whenever I get in a cab I quickly let the driver know I’m a writer so, when he asks, “what are you working on now?” this is my cue—now I MUST attempt to…

On the night of the #Equinox, she guides us to #Spring,
The magical peace of new beginnings.
She dances through darkness till day breaks through,
Embraces the changes as Earth starts anew.
Moon's faithful friend, our guardian and guide.
Messenger of rebirth, growth and new life.

'Valley and River, Northumberland.' Wonderful to see an exhibition of Edward Burra's work is coming to Tate Britain this summer - one of most distinctive British artists of the 20thC and unbelievably the first major retrospective of his work in forty years. This is from 1972.

Back home!

Last view of the rather sad old Hellnakirkja church. Will miss the views and the solitude.

Plenty more photos to come!

A snowdrop in the snow.

Once believed to be an omen of death (if picked and brought into a home), these flowers symbolize a hopeful future to come with the changing of winter into spring.

Here’s hoping.
